MCP setup

Connect ROASaurus to Cursor

Add the server to mcp.json, in search mode for Cursor's tool limit.

Set it up

  1. Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json in a project and add the server below.
  2. Open Cursor Settings › MCP, find roasaurus and choose Login to sign in to ROASaurus.
  3. Ask your question in the agent chat.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "roasaurus": {
      "url": "https://app.roasaurus.com/mcp?mode=search"
    }
  }
}

Cursor uses a limited number of tools at a time, so the URL uses ?mode=search: three tools that reach every ROASaurus tool.

With an API key instead

Create a named API key with the mcp scope under Store settings › API & data and send it as a bearer token. Keep it as safe as a password; revoke it there when you no longer use it.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "roasaurus": {
      "url": "https://app.roasaurus.com/mcp?mode=search",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:ROASAURUS_KEY}"
      }
    }
  }
}

Then ask

  • Which campaigns made a profit last month after product costs and fees?
  • Compare Meta and Google Ads ROAS this week with last week and explain the difference.
  • Find ad sets that spend without sales and propose to pause them.

Changes are proposals in the Actions inbox unless you allowed actions:apply. Read more on the MCP server page.
