The server

The ROASaurus MCP server speaks Streamable HTTP. AI apps sign in with your ROASaurus login (OAuth): an owner or admin picks the store and ticks what the app may do. Apps without OAuth send a named API key with the mcp scope instead.

Two ways to list the tools

By default the app sees every tool it may use. Apps with a tool limit can use /mcp?mode=search instead: then they see three tools. search finds tools by task and platform and returns their exact inputs and the accounts connected to your store, execute_read runs a read tool and execute runs a change. You can also set this per key or connection under Store settings › API & data.

What the app may do

  • mcp: read reports, ad performance, GA4, Search Console and connected sites. Nothing changes.
  • actions:write: propose ad, Google and site changes to the Actions inbox. Nothing changes until an owner or admin approves.
  • actions:apply: apply ad changes right away, within your guardrails, kill switch and business hours, with a log and rollback.
  • admin:read and admin:write: setup status and settings of every store in the workspace.

Each scope is a separate, unticked checkbox when you connect, and every connection can be ended under Store settings › API & data.

Questions, answered

Is ROASaurus listed in the Claude or ChatGPT directory?

Not yet. Until it is, add ROASaurus as a custom connector with the server URL; it gives the same tools.

Can the AI app change my campaigns?

Only with the scopes you allow. With actions:write it proposes changes that an owner or admin approves; only actions:apply changes ad accounts right away, within your guardrails.

Which data does the AI app see?

The results of the tools it calls, for the one store you picked. They go to the AI app under its own terms.
