Server-side tracking for Lightspeed eCom
Connect a Lightspeed eCom API key, press Create webhook, and every paid order goes to your ad platforms from the server. A tracking snippet links each order to the ad click.

How Lightspeed connects
- Settings › Website settings › Web extras › Custom JavaScript: paste the ROASaurus script tag.
- On the same page, switch the Tracking box on and paste the thank-you snippet. It fires the ROASaurus purchase with the order number, total, currency and customer email.
- Back office › Settings › Store settings › Developers › New API key, with read access to orders, and enable the key.
- In ROASaurus, enter the API key and secret, the region (
eufor webshopapp.com orusfor shoplightspeed.com) and the language code in your API URLs, such as nl, en or de. - Save, then press Create webhook.
What Create webhook does
ROASaurus registers an orders updated webhook in Lightspeed. Webhooks created with an API key are not signed, so each one carries a token unique to your store in its URL, and ROASaurus re-fetches the order from the API instead of trusting the payload. It also checks for updated orders every 5 minutes.
What ROASaurus reads from each order
The order number, which is also what the thank-you page shows, the total including tax, currency, email, phone, name, billing city, zip and country, the customer id and the products. Lightspeed orders also include the shopper's IP address and user agent, so when the snippet is missing, ROASaurus can still match on the same IP and browser, but only when exactly one visitor fits.
Limits
- The connector uses the Lightspeed eCom (C-Series) API, on the eu and us clusters.
- Only orders with payment status paid are sent. Orders paid later arrive with the next update or the 5-minute check.
- The connector is built from the platform's official API documentation. Press Test connection after saving your credentials, then place a test order and check the Event log.
